i was at a curriculum development meeting today for a leadership program for immigrant and refugee youth. it still shocks me when people think that creating a community of care based on intentionality, accountability, and recognition of violence and trauma is thought of as unimportant or too much of a daunting task. 

then we started talking about decolonization….

sufficed to say, shit got real.
